There has been an explosion of coaching in personal and organizational life over the last 20 years.  The International Coach Federation (ICF) has over 20,000 members and annual revenue from coaching is estimated at roughly $2 billion globally. But skeptics still ask, does coaching really work? Recent studies are conclusive: yes it does! Coaching increases performance and skills, well-being, coping, work attitudes, and goal-directed self-regulation. Come and learn how positive psychology has studied coaching, and what evidence-based practices you can add to your coaching tool-kit to improve client experience and outcomes. In this hands-on workshop, you will walk away with specific techniques for how to use positive psychology in personal and executive coaching. You don’t need to be a coach to benefit from this workshop!

Andrew Soren, CPCC, MAPP, is a graduate of and assistant instructor within the University of Pennsylvania's internationally renowned Master of Applied Positive Psychology programme. A Toronto-based leadership coach and consultant, Andrew is also Senior Advisor for Talent Strategies at BMO Financial Group, where he is accountable for leadership and employee engagement strategies. Passionate about meaning, culture and community, Andrew has worked in the corporate and non-profit sectors spanning the performing arts, philanthropy, corporate marketing and sponsorship, leadership development, culture change, coaching, and talent management.
