Positive Psychology Across the Lifespan: An Interview with Dr. Piers Worth

Kimberley Wakefield, one of our CPPA board members, had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Piers Worth, which you can watch above or find it on our website here. They have a thoughtful discussion about the application of positive psychology on the changes that happen across our lifespan.

His book Positive Psychology Across the Lifespan: An Existential Perspective provides an insight into how we are affected by the different stages of adult development and gives us the opportunity to change through choice rather than leaving change to chance.

You can read more and purchase the book on amazon here.

There is also a website mentioned in the interview that acts as a companion to the book on behind the scenes decisions that went into the work and build on some of the topics and research discussed. You can access that here.

Dr. Piers Worth PhD is Visiting Professor in Psychology at Buckinghamshire New University, and a Chartered Psychologist. Piers’ PhD research focused on how creativity changes as we age, and how it may support positive aging. He co-authored the ‘Second Wave Positive Psychology: Embracing the Dark Side of Life’ book that was published in November 2015. Piers edited and co-authored ‘Positive Psychology Across the Lifespan: An Existential Perspective’ published in February 2022.
