TransLink focuses on whole health approaches to well-being, a commitment to workplace wellbeing was made when adopting an enterprise-wide Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy in 2021, and a Psychological Health and Safety Program in 2022, anchored by a People Well-being Strategy.
A new leadership training initiative on “How to Talk to Employees about their Wellbeing”, and the 13 E-learning modules on the National Standard’s Workforce factors for Psychological Health and Safety at Work are available enterprise-wide. Wellness initiatives include; “Courageous Conversations” where employees are encouraged to openly dialogue about stigmas and stereotypes.
Peer-to-peer networks were launched to emotionally support employees and direct them to resources to improve their psychological health and well-being at work. Also, a Peer Diffuser Program with peer volunteers who are on call 24/7/365 days a year, provides in-person debriefing and support when a traumatic incident happens at work.
