The Canadian Positive Psychology Association (CPPA) and our partners SeeingHappy are thrilled to invite you to join Toronto Through Our Eyes, a new city-wide photography contest designed to promote mental well-being and civic pride. Founded by photographer and positive psychology advocate Mandy Seligman, SeeingHappy is a powerful non-profit that was just awarded IPPA’s first Positive Arts & Culture Division Award in July 2025.
While this pilot initiative is focused on Toronto, it’s part of something bigger. Our vision is to grow it into a Canada-wide movement, celebrating the hope, unity, belonging, and joy that exists in all of our communities. This is where it starts, and we’d love for you to be part of it, whether you’re in Toronto, elsewhere in Canada, or simply cheering us on from afar.
From August 15th to October 17th, 2025, we’re inviting Toronto residents and visitors to capture moments that radiate hope, unity, belonging, and joy in our city.
Whether it’s a great neighbourhood, smiling friends, your favourite community event, a breathtaking place to hang out, or a moment of kindness between neighbours, we want to see the Toronto that inspires you.
