More About Canuck Place: Canuck Place first opened its doors in 1995 to become North America’s first freestanding children’s hospice providing medical respite, pain and symptom management, art, music, and recreation therapy, end-of-life care, and grief, loss, and bereavement counseling at no cost to families.

The level of care that they provide to children and families is reflected in the care they provide to staff through their Wellness initiative. Recognizing that people bring their whole self to work, they want to promote a workplace focused on wellness where acceptance of discussing and supporting mental health is embedded in their culture.
